The leadership of Liberate the Women Initiative, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) has felicitated with the former Nigerian Vice President Alhaji Atiku Abubkar who clocked the age of 75 years on the 25th of November, 2021.
The celebration of the former Nigerian vice-president birthday took place at the Christ Treasured Orphanage Home Bako in Kwali Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory.
In an interview at the occasion, the national president/founder of Liberate the Women Initiative (LIWI), Dr Tobechukwu Princess, said the purpose of celebrating the birthday of the former Vice-President was due to his concern to the less privileged ones in the society.
She also described the former Nigerian vice-president as a destabilized Nigerian, adding that Atiku Abubakar is a true Nigerian.
She, however, pointed out that Atiku Abubakar is not tribalistic, saying that women initiative would continue to pray for the former Nigerian vice president to become the president of Nigeria.
In another development, the leadership of LIWI on Saturday celebrated the 3rd anniversary in a grand style in Gwagwalada.
While speaking to newsmen during the anniversary, Dr Tobechukwu princess, said the women initiative was aimed at liberating the women from poverty and laziness.
She said: “We need to encourage women to do something. We need to mentor the women because many of them have ideas of doing things, but they do not know how to go about it”.
Princess, however, said plans are underway next year to sensitize the women on the activities of the organization, pointing out that the organizations is not politically motivated.
Meanwhile, the 3rd anniversary of Liberate the Women Initiative featured the conferment of awards to some personalities.
