The National Working Committee, NWC, of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has appointed the Governor of Akwa Ibom, Mr Udom Emmanuel as the Chairman of its electoral committee on Ekiti State gubernatorial primary slated to hold today at the State capital, Ado-Ekiti.

The electoral committee, which has four other members, is expected to work towards electing the governorship candidate of the party, ahead of the forthcoming election in the State.

Other members of the committee, according to a statement yesterday by the National Organising Secretary of the party, Hon. Umar Bature, are; Chief (Mrs) Erelu Olusola Obada, Hon. Michael Mku, Barr. Ibrahim Khalid and

The exercise is scheduled for today (Wednesday, January 26, 2022) at the State capital in Ado-Ekiti.

The statement by Bature reads, ‘”The National Working Committee of our Great Party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has nominated the following party members to serve on the Electoral Committee to conduct Special State Congress in Ekiti State. 

“The Committee is mandated to elect our Party’s Gubernatorial Candidate for the upcoming Governorship Election in Ekiti State.

“The exercise is scheduled for Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at the State Capital, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State”, the statement concluded.
