The 5th interhouse competition of Junior Secondary School Gwako in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Red House topped the 1st position, Blue House took the 2nd position and Green House maintained the 3rd position at the end of the competition.

In her welcome address at the occasion, the principal of the school, Mrs Oborokumo Joyce said: “Sports as you all know, bring young men and women from various cultural and religious backgrounds together.

She said: “Sporting activities help in building a child self-confidence and self-esteem. 

It encourages discipline, perseverance, patience and most importantly keeps a child agile and fit all around”.

According to the Principal, “today we will compete and entertain you to show our appreciation for your devotion and support for us”.

The principal, therefore, thanked the executive members of PTA and SBMC for their co-operation as well as commitment to ensure that today’s event is a success.

Meanwhile, the principals of the other schools from the FCT UBEB graced the occasion.
