HYPPADEC trains workforce on competence

Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (HYPPADEC), has commenced a 4-day capacity building training exercise for newly recruited staff to ensure competence and efficient service delivery.

The Managing Director of HYPPADEC,

Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Yelwa, who declared the induction training opened with the theme; “Administrative Procedures, Discipline in Civil Service Ethics held in Minna, urged participants to take the training seriously.

He added that the commission has about 432 staff strength, noting that the training was ongoing simultaneously in other five HYPPADEC states like Kogi, Benue, Kebbi, Kwara and Plateau respectively.

Yelwa explained that the induction training was to equip the staff with civil service procedures and regulations as most of them were coming from the private sector and fresh from the university.
