Secretary to Kano State Government, Alhaji Usman Alhaji, has declared interest to contest for governorship election in Kano State come 2023.
Mr Alhaji , who holds traditional tittle of the Wazirin Gaya, announced this on Sunday at a dinner organized by Patriotic Volunteers for Good Governance, held in Kano.
The SSG promised to be transparent, honest and conduct affairs of the state with the fear of God.
He noted that his administration, if he becomes the governor in 2023, would not be teleguided or in the interest of an individual but the generality.
‘’I intend to build on the good work of Governor Ganduje so that my administration will consolidate just like what is happening in Lagos, Kaduna and Borno States,’’ he said.
‘’You see I have being in this government in the last 6 years, Kano needs somebody that has integrity and pedigree that can continue the good work of the Ganduje administration,’’ he added.
