A Pressure Group known as the Initiative for a Better and Brighter Nigeria (IBBN) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Sunday inaugurated the Gwagwalada Area Council executives.
Inaugurating the officials during the town hall meeting at the Fire Embassy in Gwagwalada, the Co-ordinator of IBBN in the FCT, Ambassador Christ Okehie charged the executives to always work towards the Progress of the organization.
He said the Initiative for a Better and Brighter Nigeria was aimed at fishing out the right persons for elective positions in the country.
Okehie, however, advised Nigerians to deem it necessary to get their voter’s cards so as to enable them to vote during the election.
In an interview with newsmen, the Deputy Co-ordinator of IBBN in the FCT, Dr Emmanuel Afolabi, said the purpose of the town hall meeting was to enlighten the populace on the 2023 general elections.
Afolabi charged Nigerians to vote the right candidates in 2023 general elections for the overall development of the country.
Speaking on the “the Role of the Citizens in the Political Emancipation of Nigeria towards 2023”, Barr. Caleb Abutu implored the parents, royal fathers and religious leaders to deem it fit to educate the people on the importance of voter’s cards, especially the youths at the age of 18 years.
He also urged the school administrators and teachers to engage the pupils / students in voters’ education.
Abutu therefore, used the occasion to call on Nigerians to vote the candidates of their choice.
