The unit co-ordinator of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) Zuba in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr Zaharaddini Sharubuku, has pleaded with Nigeria security agencies to give the necessary support and co-operation to the men of CJTF in order to combat crime in the FCT and Nigeria at large.

Sharubuku, who made the plea in an interview with Peoples Daily correspondent during the commissioning of the CJTF unit office in Zuba, also begged the Nigeria Police Force to help the CJTF with riffles or sophisticated guns.

He said his leadership would continue to work hand in hand with the Policemen, so as to arrest the security challenges facing the people of Zuba.

He advised the men of CTJF in Zuba to always carry out their operation with the notice of DPO in the area.

He further charged the men of CJTF to accord respect to the police, soldiers as well as DSS in the area of discharging their duties and tasked them to be law-abiding citizens at all times.

He, therefore, warned the men of CJTF against any act capable of tarnishing the image of the task force, advising them not to do away with the suspects’ belongings in their possession.

The Zuba CJTF unit co-ordinator, however, expressed worry over the nonchalant attitude of the indigenes of Zuba towards the CJTF in the area, as he said the indigenes are always in support of Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN) Zuba.
