Police nabs man, 49, for allegedly defiling 8yrs old minor

The Adamawa state Police Command has apprehended a 49 year old man, Zalata Yuguda for allegedly defiling 8yrs old minor.

Spokesman of the Command, SP Suleiman Nguroje disclosed in Yola on Monday that the mother of the victim, Mrs Rita Yohannah reported to the police on the 22nd July, 2022 that the suspected rapist lured the victim and had canal knowledge of her forcefully.

Nguroje said on receiving the complaint, the commissioner of police in the state, CP Siriku Akande directed the case to be transferred from Doubeli Police state to state criminal investigation department for thorough interrogation.

While being investigated by the police, the mother of the victim stated that she noticed some stain of blood on the victim’s cloth who also complained of pain in her private part.

She then took the girl inside their bedroom and checked her private part where she discovered blood and reported to the police.

Confessing to the alleged crime, the suspect, Zalata Yuguda said he was drunk while returning back from a beer parlour when he saw the victim playing with her peers before luring her with 20 naira to buy him pure water.
