The Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre (CISLAC) has urged practicing journalists to use their investigative journalism professional expertise in ensuring corruption tendencies are checked in defence and security budgetary processes.

It was observed at a training workshop for journalists organised by the Centre, in conjunction with Transparency International Defence Project, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Netherlands.

In his remarks at the training in Yola,Adamawa state capital, Thursday, Executive Director of the Centre, Auwal Ibrahim Musa Rafsanjani said the media workshop is designed to enhance knowledge of practicing journalists on probable areas within the defence and security sector budgetary process and expenditure.
