Groups endorse Yuguda as Zamfara Governor in 2015

Zamfara state Peoples Democratic Party {PDP} Coalition of youths have called on the Minister of State for Works, Ambassador Bashir Yuguda, to accept the unanimous endorsement made on him and to subsequently declare his interest for the 2015 governorship.

Speaking to Peoples Daily in Gusau, the state capital, Chairman of the Yuguda Foundation for Goodluck 2015 North-West zone, Aminu Yuguda Gusau, who declared the minister as their choice urging him to contest the post of the state Governor by 2015 elections, said it has become necessary for the teeming youth in the state to realize the danger of playing politics for money against the aims and objectives of democracy.

Gusau said it is the time the minister should accept their call under the umbrella of PDP in order to rescue the people of the state from the whirlpool of insecurity. He added that youth were suffering for dearth of sound education and employment as the attention of the state government was only drawn to serve the interests of few individuals of political wills in the state.

H e said “In fact, every PDP supporter in the state knows what Ambassador Bashir Yuguda has immensely contributed to the state. Since he became minister, he has been making party more lively through cash donation and other contributions to party officials and supporters which virtually made impact to the growth of the party in the state”, the chairman added.

“We have to look for alternative by 2015 general elections. Any patriotic leader who would serve not his interest and that of his and relatives, but the entire people of the state,” he said.
