Governor of Niger State, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello has applauded the conventional and non-conventional security agencies operating in the state.

Briefing Journalists on the security update in the state, he assured that efforts would be sustained to ensure bandits are flushed out of the state completely.

Speaking on behalf of the governor, Commissioner for Internal Security and Humanitarian Affairs, Mr. Emmanuel Umar observed that there is a relative peace in the state presently.

He however acknowledged that there are pockets of attacks in the some communities of Mashegu, Mariga and Kontagora local government areas.

While sympathizing with the families of security personnels who lost their lives in the fight against banditry, he stressed that their sacrifices will not go in vain.
