Isah Ashiru Kudan, the gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is in an early lead in seven local government areas of the state, after the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) released some results.
The INEC Returning Officer, Kaduna State in the ongoing coalition exercise, Prof. Lawal Suleiman Bilbis of Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto, declared the results at the commission’s state headquarters on Sunday.
The local government areas already declared are Giwa, Sanga, Kajuru, Ikara, Makarfi, Jaba and Kaura.
PDP so far has won five out of the seven LGAs declared, while the governorship candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress, (APC) Senator Uba Sani trails behind with wins in two LGAs.
PDP won in five local government areas of Kaura, Sanga, Jaba, Kajuru and Makarfi, while APC won in Giwa and Ikara local government areas with slight margins.
