Benue Govt gets debt swap, reduction by 84b

Benue State government and the Federal government have agreed on debt swap in reduction of the overall debt of the State.
The State Commissioner for Finance David Olofu who disclosed this yesterday while briefing Journalists after the Executive Council meeting,said the State along with other States participated in interventions from the Federal Government which amounted to 84 billion naira.
Olofu mentioned these interventions between 2015 to date to include, Budget Support facility which was provided for both states and LGA, bailout facility, commercial bank loans, repaper bank facility, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Fund, World Bank Racks, UBA facility which was structured into federal govt fund, counterpart funds, bridging finance from UBA and CBN funds.
