Bauchi State Government has pledged to improve the well being of rural communities by executing viable projects in their areas.
Secretary to the Bauchi State Government , Barrister Ibrahim Mohammed kashim stated this yesterady, when he distributed 406 Model Work Vehicles to the caretaker Committee chairmen of twenty local governments in the state.
He commended the efforts of the Heads of the Interim Committees to restore the dignity of work in their local government areas and stresses the need for them to be more diligent in improving welfare and welfare of the Community.
Kashim requested the employees of the local authorities and the in-laws to cooperate with the Government in achieving the successful implementation of the Government’s policies..
He reiterated that the government will not condone negligence in work or involvement in political activities by other employees which is against the rules of government work, threatening to take action against any employee who is found to be violating the government’s trust..
The Commissioner for Local Government Affairs Hon. Abdulrazak Nuhu Zaki said the vehicles were ordered by Governor Bala Mohammed for them as part of effort to provide the working vehicles for the Chairmen.
Also, he emphasized the government’s intention to further improve the working conditions of local authorities in the state and assured them on prompt Payment of Workers’ Salaries and Pensions on time.
On his part, Chairman of Caretaker Committees chairmen who is , the Chairman caretaker Committee of Katagum Local Government, Alhaji. Umar Hassan, thanked the governments , the Chairman caretaker Committee of Katagum e government fir the gesture and pledges to do more justifying the confidence reposed on them.
