The presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the 2023 general elections, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, and a member of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of the party, Buba Galadima, have advised the caretaker committee of the party in Ogun State, to ensure that they bring back those that have left the party.
The duo noted that this is necessary in order to build a formidable party ahead of the next elections.
Recall that some members of the party had left the party due to the expulsion of Sunday Olaposi Oginni, the former chairman of the party in the state.
The party subsequently inaugurated a caretaker committee led by Prince Ibrahim Adekunle to direct the affairs of the party.
Kwankwaso and Galadima have, however, advised the caretaker committee to ensure that they bring those who have left the party back into the fold without wasting more time.
They made these declarations on Tuesday when the caretaker committee of the party and the gubernatorial candidate of the NNPP in Ogun State, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, paid them a courtesy visit after the inauguration of the Kano State governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf.
NNPP’s Yusuf won the election in Kano State.
Kwankwaso, in his speech, said that the caretaker committee should return home to spread out the party’s tentacles from the wards to local governments and the state as a whole.
“I implored you to go into action by not looking back in your quest to bring back those that have left the party as well as ensuring to bring in new members into the party in Ogun State,” Kwankwaso stated.
Galadima encouraged the caretaker committee to continue to wax stronger in the state and not allow political challenges to affect them.
