Ikechukwu Uche scored the winner as Villarreal beat Real Soceidad 2-1 on the final match day of the 2013/14 La Liga season.
Uche profited from a Giovanni Dos Santos assist to score the Yellow Submarine’s second goal of the day at Estadio Municipal de Anoeta on Sunday
It was Uche’s 14th league goal of the season.
The 30-year-old has now scored in each of his last two appearances for Villarreal after scoring just once in his previous 13 games.
yesterday’s win means Villarreal will compete in next season’s Uefa Europa League.
The El Madrigal club ended the season in sixth place on the league standings with 59 points from 38 matches
