Makinde/Daura Presidential Campaign postponed South South zonal town hall meeting

The Makinde/Daura Presidential Campaign Organization has postponed its South-South Zonal Town Hall meeting earlier scheduled to hold on Friday, September 25th 2026 in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State capital.

A statement on Thursday by Anthony Ehilebo, Special Adviser, Media and Digital Communication to the Presidential Candidate of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM), Engr Seyi Makinde, apologized to the stakeholders, teeming members and supporters of the party in the zone over the postponement.

A new date, the statement said, would be communicated in due course.

The statement reads, “The Makinde/Daura Presidential Campaign Organization announces the postponement of our South South Zonal Town Hall meeting earlier scheduled to hold on Friday, September 25th 2026 in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State capital.

“The Campaign regrets any inconveniences the postponement may cause our distinguished stakeholders, teeming members and supporters in the zone. A new date would be communicated in due course.

“However, the North Central Zonal Town Hall meeting will be held as scheduled on Monday, September 28th, 2026 in Lafia, Nasarawa State.

“The Makinde/Daura Presidential Campaign Organization deeply appreciates the rousing reception accorded our Presidential Candidate, Engr. Seyi Makinde and his running mate, Alhaji Musa Daura by Nigerians at the North West Town Hall meeting in Katsina on Monday.

“The success of the North West engagement further underscores the popularity of our Presidential candidate, his running mate and our great Party, the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), across the country ahead of the 2027 Presidential election.

“The Campaign urges all Nigerians to remain united and steadfast in this collective quest to rescue and Reset Nigeria to a nation that works for all under a Makinde/Daura Presidency on the platform of the APM”, the statement concluded.
