The Executive Secretary, Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), Engr. Shehu Hadi Ahmad has raised alarm over existence of illegal and fraudulent LinkedIn account in his name by unscrupulous person(s), allegedly being used to solicit the co-operation of the public for execution of contracts in his office.
Ahmad noted that the FCDS has a clearly defined procurement process, so he cannot on his own request for tenders/award contracts on the social media.
In a statement that he personally signed and issued yesterday, the FCDA boss, urged the public to disregard posts or requests purportedly for procurement exercise, because they are not from him, which are apparently designed to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.
He however, added that he has already reported the development to the security agencies and investigations are underway.
It read: “This is to notify the general public that a ‘LinkedIn Account’… has been created in my name by some unscrupulous person(s). They are using it to solicit the co-operation of the public for execution of contracts in my office.
“Kindly disregard any requests for such as emanating from me on the social media. Don’t fall prey to scammers.”
