With a view to ensuring implementation of Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE), Adamawa state government said it has paid 100 million naira counterpart funding.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri disclosed the development in Yola Wednesday during an engagement with critical stakeholders and some government officials, explaining that,the project was geared towards improving education infrastructure and promoting social behavioural change in communities.
Represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education and Human Development in the state,Hajiya Aisha Umar,Fintiri said with the released fund, Adamawa would be in the forefront in the implementation of the project.
He appealed to stakeholders to continue to support government to achieve the goals of the project.
The project’s Task Team Lead, Aisha Mohammed, said the engagement was an opportunity for the Adamawa Government to discuss issues related to successful implementation.
She urged stakeholders to actively contribute their wealth of experience for the success of the project in Adamawa.
