The Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu has led hundreds of Muslims to the Bauchi Central Eid prayer grounds for the special prayers for rainfall in the State.
The special prayers, took place yesterday in Bauchi, where the people asked Allah the almight for the blessings of the rain in Bauchi emirate and the country at large.
Speaking at the end of the prayers, Emir Rilwanu called on the people of Bauchi Emirate to avoid wickedness, envy, and covetousness which always bring about displeasure leading to the Almighty Allah’s punishments on the citizens.
He said “We must avoid and shun all sorts of evils that as a results of which our society will never witness the blessings of Almighty Allah.”
The Emir said that living in peace with one another is very paramount, stressing that it is not a certain individual’s responsibility to maintain peace but everyone’s duty because peace is the path to prosperity.
He said “If we do not have peace and harmony with one another, the Almighty Allah will not bless us with rains and other blessings,” when peace and harmony are maintained, things will continue to run smoothly without any delay. Moreover, it can be a saviour for many who do not wish to engage in any disrupting activities.”
