2015: Lame’s posters flood Bauchi

Date:

From Ahmed Kaigama, Bauchi

Campaign posters of former Police Affairs Minister, Dr. Yakubu Ibrahim Lame, for Bauchi state governorship election in 2015 have flooded the state capital.

Inscriptions on the posters suggested that they were printed by Project Bauchi State 2015, suspected to be a group supporting Lame candidature for 2015 governorship poll.

The group asked the minister to come out and contest for Bauchi guber seat in 2015, under the platform of any party.

Addressing news men yesterday in Bauchi, the Chairman of the group, Abubakar A. Jahun and the Secretary, Aliyu Ladan said Lame is the only indigene of Bauchi state who invested in the state. According to them, he built schools, hotels and other businesses to reduce unemployment in the state.

They appealed to Bauchi electorates to vote for a leader who has the interest of the state at heart.

Lame’s posters, on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), were sighted in Nassarawa street, Emirs Palace, Central Market and the Round about.
