A Nongovernmental Organization Voluntary Aid Initiative (VAI) has called marginalized groups to always feel free to gain access to justice by saying out their minds on sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV).
The call was made by the Executive Director of the NGO, Musa Umar, in Gusau the Zamfara State capital during a quarterly review meeting of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) network with security forces and local authorities.
The meeting which was organised by the VAI in collaboration with UKaid funded NGO, International Alert, comprised representatives from security agencies, members of the CSOs, people with special needs, community members and journalists.
The International Alert is an NGO funded by the UK Conflict Security and Stability Fund (CSSF) implementing a project, “Promoting Stability, Access to Justice and Accountability’’ in Zamfara and Kaduna States.
Umar further disclosed that the meeting was part of the activities of the project aim to promote stability, access to justice and accountability to victims in the state.
