Gov. Buni provides lifetime palliatives

A journalist and former Senior Special Assistant on Digital Media and Communication Strategy to Gov. Buni, Malam Yusuf Ali said, apart from the equitable and fair distribution of rice and other foodstuffs as palliatives to cushion the hardship faced by Nigerians, the Buni administration is providing a lifetime palliatives and proffering policies and programmes capable of creating jobs, ecomomic empowerment and wealth creation in the state.
Malam Yusuf Ali who disclosed this to our reporter in Damaturu, said since what the people need is job creation and economic buoyancy that would lead to prosperity, the Yobe state government is not only looking at short-term palliatives which only solve problems for the meantime but radical and long-term solution that will empower the people.
“For example, it is in the midst of the fuel subsidy removal harship that the recently recruited 2,670 youths into the state civil service have started receiving their salaries as permanent and pensionable workers. The integration of this numbers of sons and daughters of Yobe into the payroll of the state government is the biggest palliative as its impactful on the state’s economy.
“This is in addition to the several empowerment support such as Motor Vehicles, KEKE NAPEP, Jega Tricycles, Grinding Machines, Irrigation Pumps, Salon and Babershop Kits, GSM Repairs Kits etc to small scale businesses and small business individuals women and youths through the Ministry of Wealth Creation, Empowerment and Employment Generation which has continued to impact positively on the lives of the people.” “This is in addition to the several empowerment support such as Motor Vehicles, KEKE NAPEP, Jega Tricycles, Grinding Machines, Irrigation Pumps, Salon and Babershop Kits, GSM Repairs Kits etc to small scale businesses and small business individuals women and youths through the Ministry of Wealth Creation, Empowerment and Empct positively on the lives of the people.”
