The Plateau State Governor, Cleb Mutfuangang has promised to return Mighty Jet FC back to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) for the interest of engaging the youths of the state meaningfully against anti social activities.
The governor who disclosed this over the weekend in Jos, Plateau State capital during 2023 Nigeria National League (NNL) annual general meeting, said that government would do it part by creating enable environment for club to exceel.
Mutfuangang who was represented by Sports commissioner, Datti Lawadi, said that, “As you can see, even for holding the AGM here in Jos will tell you government is ready to take it responsibility for Mighty Jet to succeed in this season.
“Actually we are doing our best in order to see that we complete and renovate Jos township stadium, I want to challenge our team, we want to see them in Premier League because we don’t want any excuse,” He said.
Also speaking, Chairman of the NNL, George Aluo, said that the body is looking looking forward to a 2023/24 competitive league but not win at all cost.
We’re not going to allow that, we are creating a level playing field where only clubs with good technical officials and tactically sound are winning matches.
“The board will organize seminar for stakeholders on capacity building from October 15th to October 18th, after that the league will start on 28th next month,” he noted.
