Laud his sense of duty

The national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has hailed the Bauchi State Governor, Senator
Bala Mohammed over his extraordinary sense of duty and dedication towards the wellbeing and development of the State and the Nation at large.
The PDP specifically described the Governor as a quintessential legislator, who is highly experienced yet very humble, selfless and compassionate leader.
Similarly, the PDP Governors’ Forum, PDP-GF has dubbed Governor Mohammed as a leader known for unwavering commitment to serving the Nigerian people, evident throughout his distinguished career in the public Service, tenure as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and his role as a Senator, and now as the Governor of Bauchi State.
The PDP-GF, in a statement yesterday by its Director-General, Hon CID Maduabum, pointed out that Governor Mohammed has shown exemplary leadership in the transformation of the agriculture sector with the provision of additional hectares of irrigated land, improved seedlings and soft loans to farmers in Bauchi State.
Both the PDP and it’s elected Governors stated these while congratulations the Bauchi State Governor on the occasion of his 65th birthday celebration.
The PDP, in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Hon Debo Ologunagba, said, “The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) celebrates the Governor of Bauchi State and Chairman of PDP Governors’ Forum, our own dear Senator Bala Mohammed as he marks his birthday today.
“Governor Bala Mohammed is a quintessential legislator, highly experienced yet very humble, selfless and compassionate leader, who continues to demonstrate an extraordinary sense of duty and dedication towards the wellbeing and development of Bauchi State and the Nation at large.
“Over the years, through his meritorious career in the Federal Civil Service to his excellent performance as Senator of the Federal Republic, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory and now two term Governor of Bauchi State, Governor Bala Mohammed has distinguished himself as consummate statesman with exceptional commitment towards the unity, stability and development of our Nation.
“Our Party is proud of Governor Bala Mohammed’s massive infrastructural, human capital and citizens empowerment projects with which he has further repositioned Bauchi State as an Oasis of Development in line with the manifesto of the PDP; for which the people of Bauchi State overwhelmingly re-elected him in the 2023 Governorship election.
“The PDP also appreciates Governor Bala Mohammed for his untiring roles and contributions with other Party leaders in stabilizing and ensuring the growth of our great Party especially, in his current capacity as the Chairman of PDP Governors’ Forum.
“On this special day, the PDP family celebrates Governor Bala Mohammed and prays to God to grant him many more years in wisdom and good health in the service of Bauchi State and our dear fatherland”, the party said.
The PDP Governors, on their part said, “The Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum (PDP-GF) felicitates His Excellency, the Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, CON, Kauran Bauchi and Chairman of the Forum, as he turns 65 years.
“The Forum joins members of his family, friends and associates in thanking God for His blessings of wisdom, good health and protection on Governor Mohammed thus far, in his private and public life.
“We celebrate you as a leader known for unwavering commitment to serving the Nigerian people, evident throughout your distinguished career in the public Service, your tenure as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), your role as a Senator, and now as the Governor of Bauchi State.
“As FCT Minister Governor Mohammed was remarkable in frontally dealing with the menace of land racketeering in the FCT, through the modernisation and further digitisation of land administration in the Territory. It was during his tenure that the Katampe and Kagini districts, two massive districts that have opened the Abuja metropolis to greater development and housing provision were established.
He was also instrumental to massive developments in agricultural extension services and progress on the railway project in the FCT.
“The Forum further notes his numerous achievements as Governor of Bauchi State, which earned him accolades in his first term and election for a second term. Under his watch, Internally Generated Revenue, IGR, has exploded, tourism rejuvenated, new roads built and old ones rehabilitated.
“Governor Mohammed has also shown exemplary leadership in the transformation of the agriculture sector with the provision of additional hectares of irrigated land, improved seedlings and soft loans to farmers. His milestones in education, housing and water provision, rural electrification, landmark initiatives in infrastructure development and his roll out of various palliative measures to cushion the impact of the removal of fuel subsidy by the Federal Government on the people of the state, have raised the bar in governance.
“The PDP – GF salutes the commitment of Governor Mohammed to the attainment of greater heights by the Forum since becoming a member in 2019 and now as Chairman of the Forum.
“Governor Bala Mohammed is a great leader of the Forum, his dedication to the cohesion and harmony among all the Governors is uncommon. We wish him well and many more years of achievement for the people Bauchi State, our Party and Forum,” one of the Governors was quoted as saying.
“We pray that Almighty God will bless him with more wisdom and fortitude to continue to lead Bauchi state and the Forum to greater heights, development and growth”, they said
