Police parades 38 suspects for various crimes in Niger

Niger State Police Command has paraded no fewer than 38 suspected criminals for various crimes.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, PPRO, DSP Wasiu Abiodun made the disclosure while parading the suspects at the headquarters in Minna.
According to Abiodun, a suspected notorious Armed bandit was arrested based on a credible intelligence on incidents of kidnapping and armed robbery around Beji, Kunu and Zungeru/Beji road within Bosso, Wushishi and Shiroro Local councils of Niger State.
“Police operatives of Crack Squad with local vigilante were mobilized to the area and one suspected notorious bandit identified as Mohammed Bello a.k.a Gurusa 31yrs of Beji was arrested.
The suspect during interrogation confessed to series of armed robberies along Beji/Zungeru road which he participated and mentioned other members of the gang as Buga, Sanda and Garba.
He added that investigation has led to recovery of one locally made single barrel and Ak-47 rifle which he kept in the bush.
DSP Abiodun noted that the following
exhibits were recovered from various suspects which include; one AK-49 rifle,
two AK-47 rifles with fourteen live ammunitions, one locally fabricated AK-47 rifle, one pump action rifle.
Others were; one locally made revolver gun, six locally made guns,two AK-47 magazines, one Toyota Corolla vehicle
Sixteen bags of suspected Indian-hemp and 264 wraps of suspected Indian-hemp.
