From David Hassan, Gombe

The board of the Noth East Development Commission (NEDC) said it would do everything possible to carryout more development in the north east region.
Chairman of the board Major General Paul Tarfa( Rtd) stated this in Gombe on Wednesday during a courtesy call to governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya at government house chamber.
He said their visit to the state was aimed at assessing some projects by looking into it and decide either to create more to benefit the people.
He assured that the board will do it’s best in ensuring that the north east have access to development without hindrance.
According to him, if you can recalled we are in a situation where people engaged themselves in hardship, it’s our responsibility to look into it by assisting vulnerable with palliatives ease the problem.
Federal government on it part is trying it best and are committed in handling such problems faced by the people he added.
He commended the governor for his proactive achievements which according to him have made the state second to known.
On his part, governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya who was optimistic with the visit said he will do everything possible to work closely with the board and assurd them of total support.
