Gombe state governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has presented 2024 budget of N207. 7 billion to Gombe state House of Assembly.
He made the presentation of the budget on Monday at the floor of house.
He said the 2024 budget is made up of N87.2 million recurrent expenditure representing 42 percent and N120.5million for capital expenditure representing 58 percent of the total sum of the budget.
Performing the function, the governor assured of government commitment in handling his administration effectively, adding that government is ready work closely with the people.
Health, Agriculture, Education among others were said to be government priority to disseminate its legitimate functions without hindrance.
While speaking at the event, governor Yahaya also reminded that the 2023 budget which was passed to the state assembly for approval was with the view of making impact to the people, adding that government has utilized the budget proposal judiciously to benefit the people.
According to him, his administration has paved way in tackling gully erosion where 400,000 people in some part of the state live with fear of being wipe away during raining season.
