Nigerians have been urged not to lose hope in the country, as current travails would be a thing of the past.
The Chairman Yoruba Council of Obas and Chiefs in the 19 Northern States and Abuja, Amb. Mohammed Arigbabuwo asserted this while speaking to the media in Kaduna yesterday.
Amb. Arigbabuwo therefore called on all Nigerians to believe in the administration of President Bola Tinubu, assuring them that he would surpass people’s expectations.
The Royal father added that for the country to overcome her challenges, Nigerians must be patriotic, put behind ethnic differences and realize that they are Nigerians before any other affiliations.
“ As a people, we have a part to play in realizing God’s plan for Nigeria. Our part is to daily trust in God Almighty for the fulfillment of all His promises; pray without ceasing for those He had ordained to rule over us and support the Government of Renewed Hope.”
The Royal father said if fuel subsidy removal that was done by the Tinubu administration, had been implemented in phases by the administrations before, the current hardship Nigerians are passing through would have been avoided.
He said, “If our past leaders had been removing the fuel subsidy gradually, it would not have the harsh effect the way it does now.
“Have the belief that Tinubu will improve the economy of the nation and perform more than our expectations. We need to pray for him, it is not healthy to throw abuse at him.”
Arigbabuwo opined that
trust and love for the Nigerian security agencies should be renewed to effectively checkmate the security challenges plaguing the Country.
He challenged Nigerians to renew their trust and love in the security architecture of the country.
“The war against insurgency cannot be fought alone by the men in uniform. They deserve our prayers, backing and support. Let us unite to flush out the bad eggs causing mayhem in the nation. Nigeria is ours. Our unity and support to the Nigerian army are the strengths to bring the bandits to book.”
