In its continued effort to rid Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) of criminality, Police operatives attached to Iddo Divisional Headquarters rescued another kidnapped victim, one Suleiman Sabo, from suspected kidnappers in Sauka, along Airport Road axis of the capital city.
A statement from Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, for: the Commissioner of Police, FCT Police Command, Haruna G. Garba, disclosed that the rescue took place at about 1130hrs on Sunday.
It added that the rescue operation, one Muhammad Abel ‘m’ aged 32 from Kogi state was equally apprehended and one (1) LAR rifle with ten (10) rounds of life ammunition recovered from him.
This, came barely 24 hours that the FCT Police Command Anti-Kidnapping squad in a concerted effort with troops of the Nigerian Army, rescued the victims of the kidnappers that struck the Zuma 1 area, in the Bwari Area Council on the 2nd of January 2024. The operatives had successfully rescued the victims around kajuru forest in Kaduna state at about 11:30 pm on Saturday 20th, January 2024.
According to the statement, the victim, who sustained some injuries from the kidnappers, is currently receiving medical attention, and would be reunited with his family once certified fit by the medical team.
Furthermore, the statement stated the FCT Commissioner of Police, reiterated the Command’s commitment to rid FCT of Criminality in all its manifestations and maintenance of peace for all and sundry.
