Mr Christopher Maikalangu

Residents of the Tudun Fulani community in Dei-Dei, within the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), have accused the Area Council Chairman, Hon. Christopher Zakka Maikalangu, of completely neglecting their community’s developmental needs.
Community members claim that the Chairman failed to execute a single project in the area throughout his first term in office.
Spurred by this, residents are now urging him to shift his focus toward developing the community during his second tenure.
Local leaders and residents spoke out regarding the critical infrastructure gaps plaguing the area.
A community leader, Mallam Yahuza Suleiman urged the Chairman to urgently resume work on a local healthcare centre project, noting that Maikalangu only laid the foundation stone during his first term before abandoning it.
The Chief of Yoruba in Tudun Fulani, Oba Alekan Lasisi, lamented the terrible state of the roads, which continues to cause severe hardships for commuters.
He appealed to the Chairman to repair the roads as a duty to the electorates who voted him into power.
Also, the Village Head of Tudun Fulani, Mallam Muhammadu Gwadabe, pleaded for essential amenities including potable drinking water, electricity transformers, and functional health facilities.
He also called for collaboration with the FCT Education Secretariat to build both junior and senior secondary schools so local children can access education.
For local tomato seller, Mr. Salihu Zuyyanu, pointed out that the road leading to the tomato market needs rehabilitation to grant easy access to supply drivers.
He added that restructuring the market would significantly boost revenue generation for the council.
“Honestly, Maikalangu did not carry out any meaningful project in Tudun Fulani during his first tenure.
“ He started a healthcare center project and later abandoned it,” Zuyyanu stated.
