Chief of Air Staff, Abubakar condoles Gov Sule over ‘airstrike’ mishap in Doma

The chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal, Hassan Abubakar and his team were in Nasarawa state Government House on Friday to sympathize and condole the Government and people of the state over the killing of 39 herder ,in a military airstrike in January 26th 2023, in Rukubi community of Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa state.
Abubakar who was granted audience by Governor Abdullahi Sule, said the visit became necessary, in order to meet with the families of those affected by the unfortunate incidence and to bring a closure to the unfortunate occurrence.
According to him,” the Airstrike was painful. We are here to commiserate with the families who lost their beloved ones and those injured as well as assure you that such mistake does not happen in future again.”
Responding, Governor Sule opined that he appreciated the bulk step taken by the Air Force for the human face showed to the families of the unfortunate Air strike in the state; added that the state government took swift measure last year to calm the families of those affected through the leaders of Miyetti Allah as well as supported them.
Sule also commended the effort of Air Force personnel in terms of combating crime in the state especially in Lafia East area which he said was bedeviled by criminality activities in the recent past.
He promised to continue to support the Air Force to enable them carry out their services in the state.
