Police nab 59 yr old fraudster in Adamawa

A 58 year old habitual fraudster, Muhammad Abubakar who allegedly specializes in defrauding innocent unsuspecting members of the public is cooling his feet in police net in Adamawa state.
Confirming the arrest in Yola, Tuesday, Police Public Relations Officer(PPRO) of the Command,SP Suleiman Nguroje via a statement said, “the Command on 5/2/2024 arrested a 59years old man for frequently defrauding members of the public.
“The suspect Muhammad Abubakar a k a Malam Sabo is said to be an habitual 419 who specializes in defrauding members of the public in a disguised manner.
“Mostly, the suspect hide his identity pretending to be a ghost, talking to his victims with different voices.
“The suspect, at times changes the tone of his voice to that of a woman or a child to dupe his victims.
“Recently, he tricked and duped one Abba Bale of Demsawo the sum of three Hundred thousand (N300,000)”.
Nguroje while cautioning the public to be wary the people they engage in their business and day to day activities noted that the case is under investigation.
“The case is under investigation and the suspect will be charged to court for prosecution as soon as the police interrogators are through with their job”, Nguroje assured.
