The Kaduna State Police Command has announced the commencement of the retrieval process for motorcycles seized or confiscated by the police from the period of the COVID-19 lockdown to the 2021 motorcycle disbandment initiative in Kaduna.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer ASP Mansir Hassan stated this in a statement made available to the media in Kaduna yesterday.
The statement stated that owners who are certain that their motorcycles were seized during this time frame are advised to visit the Operation Yaki office with all necessary documents to facilitate the release of their property.
“ The retrieval process will commence on the 20th of March, 2024, and will extend for a duration of two weeks at the Operation Yaki office situated at Constitution Road, Kaduna.
He said affected individuals must present complete documents of the vehicle before it can be released to them.
“After the expiration of the two-week retrieval window, the police will no longer entertain complaints regarding seized motorcycles. Therefore, all concerned owners are urged to take advantage of this opportunity within the stipulated timeframe.
“We encourage cooperation from the public to ensure a smooth and efficient process. “
