Niger pensioners begs Gov. Bago to pay benefits

Nigeria Union of pensioners Niger State council has appealed to Governor Muhammed Umaru Bago to settle the benefits of its members in the state.
This was contained in a letter to the governor signed by the state secretary of NUP, Abdullahi Baba Sani dated 15th March, 2024.
The union explained that pensioners are really suffering and feel abandoned because their benefits are never addressed, hence a passionate appeal to governor Bago to do the needful.
It listed some of the critical and fundamental benefits of the senior citizens to include, gratuity, consequential adjustment approved by the federal government since 2019.
They asked the Niger state government to as a matter of urgency do the needful in order to avert industrial crises and disharmony.
