FRSC urges motorists to obey traffic rules

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has appealed to road users in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), to always obey the traffic rules and regulations while plying the roads to guarantee the safety of their lives and property.

The Commander in charge of the FRSC Gwagwalada area council unit, Mr. Ahmed Abubakar, who made the appeal, also charged the officers of the unit to remain committed to their duties at all times.

Speaking to newsmen after receiving the two merit awards for visionary icon as well as visionary detective by the management of orator weekly newspaper in Gwagwalada, he advised motorists to always put their vehicles in good order, to avoid accidents during the rainy season.

He however reinstated that to minimize accidents; the Unit would continue to checkmate the activities of the motorists along Abuja-Lokoja expressway, adding that it would continue to partner with other security Agencies to maintain sanity on the roads in the interest of road users and residents in the area.

Commenting on the awards, the unit commander thanked the leadership of orator weekly newspaper for the honor done to him.

Earlier, while performing the award ceremony, the managing editor of the newspaper, based in Abuja and Suleja, Mr. Nasir Oseni, urged the recipient to see the two awards conferred on him as a motivation to do more for the unit.

Oseni said that the awards were bestowed on the FRSC unit commander for his outstanding achievements.
