The Oba (Chief) of Yoruba community in Dei- Dei, Bwari area council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Alhaji Abdul Azeez Bankole, has called on the council’s chairman, Peter Yohanna Ushafa, to focus on the development of the rural settlements in the area.
Bankole, who made the call in an interview with Peoples Daily, in his palace, the Monarch alleged that for so long now, the people of Dei -Dei community are neglected in terms of provision of basic amenities.
Urging the chairman to provide potable drinking water to alleviate sufferings of the people in the community, he pleaded with the government to also provide transformers for them, to boost constant electricity supply in the community.
Bankole, however, advised the council boss to carry every tribal chief along in the scheme of things, appealed to the government to repair the dilapidated roads in the community for the sake of the people plying the roads.
Furthermore, the monarch begged the chairman to build a befitting hospital in the area to save the residents from the stress of travelling long distances for medical attention.
