Date:

Crime_01An artisan, Samuel Iraoya, 20, has appeared in an Abuja Senior Magistrates’ court, for allegedly causing grievous hurt on his friend with a pestle.

The prosecutor, Insp. Audu Bitrus, told the court that a team of police detectives on patrol arrested the accused person, and lodged a report at the Life Camp Police Station on June 8.

Bitrus said on June 8, at about 4.30 p.m., the accused, resident of Dape Village, had a misunderstanding with his fiancée which led to a fight.

He said the fiancée screamed loud for help and the complainant ran to the house to separate the fight.

Bitrus alleged that in the process, the accused hit him with a pestle on his head.
