Benue Investment Property Company to establish 800m Naira brewery

The Benue Investment and Property Company (BIPC) on Tuesday said it has concluded plans to build a brewery in December, 2024.
The Managing Director (MD/CEO) Dr Raymond Asemakaha disclosed this to newsmen shortly after a tour of the brewery, water and bakery factories in Makurdi.
Dr Asemakaha said the company was out to give Benue and Nigerians high premium quality beer that is made n Benue using fresh raw materials.
He said that BIPC is not in competition with any brewery company therefore would do her thing for the people to enjoy a beer with a difference.
Asemakaha said numerous studies review shows that producers of beer alcoholic beverages makes between N800m to N870m monthly in Benue State.
He said the decision of the company is to ensure that such funds are no longer taken out of the State but rather retain within to boost the State economy.
The BIPC boss said the establishment of the brewery would cost the company over N800m, adding that shares would be open for Benue indigenes to subscribe.
He said a total of 23 shares would be reserved for the 23 LGAs of the State to subscribe 1 percent each.
He further said that from the start, the company would be producing 180,000 bottles per day.
Dr Asemakaha said the company has planned adequately for the raw materials needed for the production of its beer.
