Governor Mohammed Umar Bago of Niger state has approved the release of N25 billion for the payment of pension and gratuity of retired civil servants and directed that all civil servants that are due for promotion in the state should be promoted immediately.
The governor gave the approval at the official commissioning of operational vehicles and 200 CNG buses at the Trade Fair Complex in Minna.
Governor Bago explained that the CNG buses will convey the students security agencies and medical workers free of charge while Civil Servants will have discounted grade to ameliorate their hardship.
He said in the next six month the number of CNG buses will hit one thousand while plans were on by the Niger state government to bring additional one hundred electric vehicles to the state in addition commissioned the CNG buses, fifty security vehicles and fifty transformers among others.
Bago, however, said that the commissioning of the project is in line with the vision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Renewed Hope Agenda to reduce the sufferings of Nigerians and applauded him for his tremendous support to Niger state.
He said in the next six month the number of CNG buses will hit one thousand while plans were on by the Niger state government to bring additional one hundred electric vehicles to the state in addition commissioned the CNG buses, fifty security vehicles and fifty transformers among others.
Bago, however, said that the commissioning of the project is imendous support to Niger state.
