Benue APC holds prayer session for president Tinubu, SGF

All Progressives Congress, APC, Benue State chapter has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF Sen. George Akume for their exemplary leadership in one year of the administration.
The party at a special prayer session held at the Makurdi residence of the SGF on Monday evening, noted that the duo have exhibited high integrity and foresight.
State Chair APC Comrade Austin Agada acknowledged the good policies of the President, maintaining that his reforms will set Nigeria on a pedestal of growth and development.
Agada also, thanked the President for the several appointments given to Benue indigenes, assuring that the party will stand shoulder to shoulder with him.
“Anyone writing petitions that the President has not carried the State along in his government is a big liar. He has sufficiently patronized us and for this act, we will support him at all times.
“To the SGF, he remains our leader and we will not disappoint him. We will continue to prayer for him to succeed.
“We are also, praying for the Governor Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia to remember the pains and suffering the party with through in ensuring he becomes Governor. We have a firm belief that he will retrace his steps”, Agada said.
Speaking on behalf 8 State Assembly members loyal to the SGF, Jonathan Agbidyeh representing Katsina-Ala East pledged their allegiance to the SGF, vowing,’no one will break our rank’.
While erstwhile chairman of the party Comrade Abba Yaro who lauded Agada’s resilience in the face of frustration and intimidation, said those deceiving the Governor, will not succeed.
Said he, “anyone disturbing Alia, God will disturb them. Those who are deceiving the Governor, will not succeed. If not for Akume, some of us would have been thrown away”.
Several prayers were said by clergymen for peace, prosperity, good health and wisdom for Mr. President and the SGF as well as for the Governor which was led by Bishop Pinot Ogbaji who is also, State zonal chairman of the party.
