A cross section of youth in Taraba State under the auspices of K-Move have canvassed more support for Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba to ensure more youth engagements and revolutionary ideas.
The youth disclosed this at a concert organized by K-Move, a social support group for Governor Kefas’ administration to celebrate his one year anniversary.
Leader of the group Magnum Jatau, who described the governor as the most youth friendly governor in the history of the state, noted that he has demonstrated sufficient commitment to youth empowerment by appointing majority of his commissioners as youths.
Jatau noted that beside appointing youth into his cabinet, the governor has come out with a lot of programs aimed at empowering the youth including the free education and slashing of tuition fees by 50% to ensure that the youth can all have quality education.
He said that the K-Move was founded to ensure that the activities of the state governor receive the needed publicity and the people of the state are mobilized to key into the governor’s agenda.
“Tonight, we are all gathered as youth to celebrate the landmark achievements of His Excellency Governor Agbu Kefas in the course of this one year. This is the first time the youth in this state are doing this and it is because this is the first time a governor has shown such levels of commitment to the growth of youth in our dear state.
“You will all agree with me that this is the first time a governor has appointed so many youths as Commissioners since the creation of this state. In the course of this one year, the governor has clearly shown that he is ready to upgrade the quality of our youth in the State.
“Already, plans are underway for the revival of the male and female football teams as well as renovations of the Jalingo, Takum and Gembu stadiums. This is aimed at boosting sports activities in the State and ensuring meaningful youth engagement.”
