Similarly, the Ondo state Governor, Olusegun Mimiko, has described President Goodluck Jonathan as a progressive democrat for his genuine love and sincere commitment to entrench true democracy in Nigeria.
In his congratulatory message to the Ekiti Governor elect, Mimiko commended President Jonathan for the political will to make available, the enabling environment which made possible, the successful holding of last Saturday’s gubernatorial election in Ekiti state.
Governor Mimiko hinged the generally adjudged credibility of the election to the sincere demonstration of President Jonathan’s determination to ensure results of elections in the country reflects the true wishes of the people by ensuring the conduct of a free and fair election.
He also congratulated the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for recording yet another impressive performance towards the 2015 general elections, saying the electoral body has continued to win people’s confidence with its performance.
