Comforts Fashion House announced its recent collection, which is called the Amara Collection. The collection features a series of short gowns that are made to accentuate the height, shape, and curves of all its wearers. The gowns in this collection can be regarded as being suitable for minimalists to enjoy owning and wearing.

The dresses in this collection are made of cotton, linen, silk, and feta. These fabrics are made with such simple yet beautiful designs that they are like a version of little black dresses, except that they are black and white. One of the gowns is a short strapless gown with a dropped waistline, and some gathered frills at the hem of the gown, which stops just at the knees of the wearer. Another gown is a black lantern-sleeved gown with a square cut with a sweetheart neckline that makes it look like a W-neckline. The gown also has a natural waistline with a flare for the skirt part of the gown. The skirt side, which is flared, also has another layer underneath, which is designed in the pattern of a simple frill. This single-layer frill is equally short, thus ensuring that the gown is still above the knee length for which the designers originally designed it. The short gowns are such that they show off the legs of the wearer, while the waists are also designed to give the impression of a slim waist.

The co-founding duo of Aishida Oluwambe Oladugba, who is a pattern maker and garment constructor, and Ayomitunde Peter Adegoke, who is a product designer and fashion illustrator, jointly worked on this project to create the simplistic yet beautiful pieces. Aishida’s skills as a garment constructor were added to Ayomitunde’s ability to create designs that traverse time for future trends. Aishida detailedly interpreted Ayomitunde’s vision for the designs by creating pattern templates for the different pieces embedded in the collection to set the tone for the sewing process while ensuring that it met the right measurement requirements and fit the patterns on the fabrics sourced for each. Ayomitunde’s future-forward designs blend sophistication with culture-delivered styles that are artistically inspired and diverse. His illustrations showed how each part of a design should be executed, with his technical drawing skills highlighting the concepts for each part and what method of construction would suit them. This showcases the ability of the duo to make fashion pieces that are perfect for fashion lovers who love monochromatic pieces yet fit for multiple occasions.

Aishida and Ayomitunde have been working together to make dresses that are beautiful but equally flattering to the curves and sizes of the wearers. Therefore, it is not surprising that the Amara collection gives the impression of a glamorous lady when the wearer steps out. The dresses in the collection are said to be designed for women who revere elegance. We must commend the hard work and meticulousness that went into the dresses in this category, as they paid off in the way every part of the gowns fit snugly on the bodies of the mannequins that were used to model the works.
