The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Fire Service has announced a comprehensive administrative and technical review of its Fire Router service framework.
He noted that the system, which was introduced under a collaborative partnership with technical service provider Prime Alert Secure Limited, is currently being evaluated to ensure it aligns with the service’s strategic objectives, operational standards, and overall public interest.
The Director of the FCT Fire Service, Adebayo Z. Amiola, disclosed this in a chat with newsmen on Tuesday, in Abuja.
He urged the public and current subscribers to remain patient while the future operational arrangements of the system are being meticulously assessed.
In light of the ongoing review, the FCT Fire Service has advised the public and system subscribers to retain their currently installed fire router devices pending further official updates and guidance from the service.
“Members of the public are requested to exercise patience while service continuity and future structural arrangements are carefully evaluated.
“Subscribers whose service subscriptions are approaching renewal are strongly advised to seek direct clarification through the official communication channels of the FCT Fire Service before committing to long-term renewals.
“The conventional emergency fire reporting and response services of the FCT Fire Service remain fully operational.
“Citizens are urged to continue reporting fire emergencies through existing official channels without hesitation,” he stated.
Amiola expressed deep gratitude to the FCT Minister, Barrister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, for his leadership and commitment to public institutions, promising that all stakeholders will be kept fully informed as decisions emerge from the ongoing review.
