Kaduna State Government has denied abandoning the Kafanchan Urban Renewal Roads Projects as being speculated in some quarters.
The Managing Director of Kaduna Road Agency (KADRA) Dr. Abdullahi Baba Ahmed asserted this yesterday
during inspection of work on the Urban Renewal road and other road projects in Southern Kaduna.
Dr. Abdullahi Baba Ahmed disclosed that rather than launching new projects, the State Governor, Senator Uba Sani is committed to completing the projects that he inherited from the previous administration in the state.
Eng. Abdullahi further disclosed that contractors have been mobilized and are now back on site with the work in progress after delays due to the rainfall
Speaking also, Eng. Ajiboye Tunde of Rafazi Nig. LTD said the drainage is 100% completed, and the sand filling on the road is also 100% completed.
He added that after the rainy season, the other works on site would require only two or three months to be completed.
The consultant to the project, Ibrahim Lawal assured that pressure is being mounted on the contractors not to only finish the project within the time frame but also to construct the road to an international standard.
