Niger State Ministry for Basic Education has called on stakeholders to support in the campaign to drastically reduce the alarming menace of our of school children.
It is said that the number is l over 600,000 in the state.
The Ministry’s Commissioner, Hajiya Hadiza Asebe Mohammed made the call during a press conference on Enrollment Drive Campaign in collaboration with the Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE) in Minna, Niger state capital.
The commissioner said that the project is aimed at increasing student enrollment across all levels of basic and secondary education that seeks to address the challenges of low enrollment rates and ensure every child has access to quality education in the state.
She maintained that the enrolment drive campaign exercise will commence from 10th to 19th September, 2024 at the Emir’s Palace in Minna with Community sensitization events across State, Zonals, LGAs, Emirates, Districts and door to door visitations.
