Peller to content creators: If you break the law, you’ll suffer alone in Kirikiri like DJ Chicken

Habeeb Peller Hamzat has spoken out about the remand of fellow content creator DJ Chicken, taunting his supporters for “abandoning him” when he was taken into custody.

In a viral video, Peller claimed he accompanied DJ Chicken, born Ademola Abiodun, to the Kirikiri Correctional Centre following his court appearance in Ogba, Lagos.

Peller described the popular livestreamer as appearing “calm and humble” after being remanded.

“I was there when DJ Chicken was sent to Kirikiri prison. He was humble. All his fans and people on his livestream were not there. He went to face the reality alone,” he said.

The TikTok personality also cautioned content creators against disrespecting law enforcement, arguing that online support evaporates once legal consequences materialise.

“Na you and policemen una go dey. You are not a celebrity; you are an idiot. Respect police. Everybody go help you gather mouth online, na only you go suffer am,” he added.

DJ Chicken was on Friday arraigned before a magistrate’s court and remanded in prison over alleged threats to kill Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu.

The charges stem from a video DJ Chicken posted on his social media pages last week, in which he declared that Tinubu would not win re-election in 2027.

In the now-deleted clip, he threatened in Yorùbá: “Tinubu you cannot win. If you enter, I will kill Seyi Tinubu. I will not say more than that”.

Peller, on the other hand, was recently arrested by the police following an incident that occurred on July 2, along the Coastal Road in Lekki.

He was arraigned before a magistrate’s court in Lagos on three counts of resisting police officers and breaching public peace. He was also held in police custody for four days.

After pleading not guilty to all three counts, the magistrate granted him bail in the sum of N500,000.
