PPDC partner’s CSOs to improve justice system delivery in Adamawa

A coordination and communication platform has been formed between the Public and Private Development Centre and civil society organizations to promote effective justice delivery system in Adamawa state.
Rising from an inception interface with the members of various civil society organizations (CSOs)with relevant specifications in justice sector held in Yola Friday, the Centre(PPDC) and its new partners pledged to work together in the task ahead.
In her welcome remarks, Program Assistant of the Centre, Hauwa Yusuf, informed the attendees that the meeting was to deliberate on areas of strategic collaboration with the Centre for a change of narrative to ensuring access to justice by the people in the state and country at large.
Yusuf said that, the Centre invited the participants due to their organisations relevance in the effort to supporting efficient and effective justice system delivery, urging all to contribute meaningfully towards achieving such desired outcome in the interest of humanity.
Earlier in her presentation on the overview of the project, State program Officer of PPDC, Barrister Fatima Bello Raji explained that the Centre is committed to promoting transparency, accountability, and efficiency in public procurement processes across Nigeria through advocacy and capacity building.
Barrister Raji stated that, the Centre empowers citizens and stakeholders to engage in governance and policy reform activity through strategic planning areas including ; Access to justice, procurement governance, Digital governance rights, inclusion and the economy, and behavioral change partnership.
“Our program is aim to improve access to and dispensation of justice for Nigeria ns,improve citizens’interaction with government and the law using transparency tools and enhance status capacities to effectively investigate and prosecute cases.said Raji.
According to her, all these objectives rely on the presence of an effective, transparent and accountable justice system, noting that,the formation of a justice sector platform tagged ‘CSO Coordination And Communication’ in the state was to ensure partnership that encourage transparency in information sharing and coordination among justice sector agencies.
