The National Women Mediators Network, Kaduna State, has called on Women to develop a positive mindset towards wealth creation for financial stability.
The Chairperson of the Network, Prof. Evelyn Hauwa Yusuf, stated this during a media parley held in Kaduna yesterday.
According to her, many women are poor, not because they lack a job or business, but because they maintain negative thoughts and lackadaisical attitude towards life, hence, the reason they keep suffering.
She opined that, no matter how little a job or business pays, no woman should be left doing nothing or found busy in alms collection, as it increases dependency on other hardship.
Prof. Evelyn Yusuf observed that due to the poor state of the nation’s economy, many have lost their jobs, and are either drowning in depression or engaging in illicit drugs or activities that damage their health.
She, therefore, advised that rather than staying idle, women should engage in productive activities that can provide financial stability to enable them to feed and support their families.
The Professor used the platform to announce the Network’s plan to have a program that will educate young people on the dangers of taking drugs.
